A magnificent amount of texture built up through red, white, and blue paint creates an intricate structure of cavernous nooks and crannies in this multidimensional piece much akin to a subconscious stew where ideas bubble up from darkened interiors only to be exposed on the surface. The sheer amount of texture applied and the ensuing scrape marks that traverse the work’s upmost façade harken to a constant shedding of expression as it happens in the moment; a building up, and expending of, simultaneously.
